What are the costs for psychotherapy?
The services are calculated according to the fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP) based on a fee agreement. The fee for one session (50 min.) is approx. €170. In addition to the session fee, there are costs for other services such as a clinical diagnostic interview or the collection of a biographical anamnesis. I will give you a transparent overview of the costs in the first session.
As the insurance conditions of private health insurance companies differ, I would recommend that you inquire about the scope of psychotherapeutic services in your contract.
Why can't you bill my statutory health insurance?
Only a limited number of psychological psychotherapists per city are permitted to bill statutory health insurance companies through the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. In Frankfurt - as in almost every city - there are no free permissions for psychotherapists.
I would therefore like to ask for your understanding that, as a person with statutory insurance, I am unfortunately unable to offer you treatment. The only exceptions to this are if you are paying for the costs yourself or if a reimbursement may be possible (see next question).
Do you offer reimbursement for people with statutory health insurance?
In principle, I am open to reimbursement of costs. However, as a private psychotherapist, I bill you directly - that means you will receive an invoice from me in accordance with the fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP). It is then up to you to submit this to your health insurance company. Whether and to what extent you receive reimbursement is independent of my billing.
Please note: Health insurance companies vary in their level of cooperation when it comes to reimbursement. You can certainly get a first impression by asking your health insurance company about reimbursement.
